Africa Trek

After a tedious time of supporting raising  that seemed like it would be impossible for me to make it God provided for everything just two days before I leave. Which meant that I had to quickly rush to wrap up things.By his grace yet again May 15th came and I was   ready to hit the road for a very adventurous 3 months missions trip  with 11 people from all over the world going around Southern Africa.

The Africa Trek is discipleship on the move that aims to  disciple participants through exposure to rural and least-reached African communities; deepen their intimacy with God; and help them become effective disciple-makers.”

NAMIBIA

Finally after a 14 hours bus drive from Gaborone I arrived in Windhoek, where I slept at a host family and the next day I left for a 4 hours drive to Swakopmund to meet the team that had already went ahead  without me since I was going to arrive late in the evening.

The first weeks of the Trek we had a training,we had some teachings and team building activities to prepare us for the coming  adventure.

OUTREACH

After an awesome two weeks of training we headed to a  rural village North West of Namibia called Okanguati, amongst the unevangelised  people  group called the Himba.

In this village we were  involved in different ministries like; helping to run a Youth camp, we had  prayer walks , we ran a kindergarten ,we  showed the Jesus’s film in schools as well going to encourage the young people in one of the schools to share the gospel as we strongly felt that the Lord will use these young people to reconcile all the people of this village to himself.

Himba-Ondjongo-Dance-Namibia-31
Our host , Mrs Autja  does amazing things with the young people whom she disciples and teaches them to seek God for themselves. At the end of our stay in Namibia she had the young pray for us and speak into our lives as the Lord enabled them,it was amazing to see how these young people were acting in the power of the Holy Spirit and prophesying upon our lives. I never knew that 13 year olds could be in such a committed, intimate and mature relationship with God.

It was so cool how they agreed for us to take pictures with them. As for the way they dress the 1st few days were uncomfortable but we ended up getting used to it.

One of our Prayer days.We went up this hill to bring for the village of Okanguati and the nation of Namibia

HIGHLIGHTS

  • One of the things we did was to share our live stories which was something new and uncomfortable for me since I never like talking about some aspects of my life,But all in all this was good as it brought healing to me and it showed me the power of transparency and the freedom found in putting things in the light . Whatever we bring to the light has no hold on us James 5:16.
  • The one thing that stuck to me was about generational curses,it gave me the opportunity to break the curses in my life,be it the things that people might have said or what I have confessed upon my life.I was also encouraged to be careful about the words I say since life and death are in the power of the tongue.
  • God was challenging me on the importance of memorising scripture.Living by Faith. Through this,I have been seeing God stretch me and use me in ways I could not imagine.Indeed God equips those whom he calls and he just wants us to be obedient.
  • One of my favourite highlights was seeing myself operating in the spirit.God giving me a word of encouragement or word of knowledge to people. It has been my desire for the longest time

It has been an amazing time all in.God just wants yielded and obedient people.I testy to this.He does it through me and he can do it through you!

Treasures In Heaven

God has given us a measure of his grace to build his kingdom.

The book of Ephesians 1:9-11 NIV  Says that  “..he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.  In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,

God made his will known to us  of bringing unity of things in heaven and on earth and we, have been foreordained in accordance with his purpose to live for the praise of his glory.

We are to store up our treasures in heaven. We can store up our treasures  in heaven through  living  lives that are worthy of the calling that he has given us.

The book of  I Corinthians 3:8 NKJV says and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. They is a great reward awaiting us which is determined by how we lived this life, We should not get carried away with the things of this world forgetting that this life is temporary  and forget to store our  treasures in heaven.

Just like in  Matthew 25:14-30 We are all servants with talents .We face the risk of being like the one servant who hide their talent.God wants us to multiple our talents,do more with what he has given us and use it for his glory.

Our response should be to use the gifts that God  has given us and finish off his mandate.I don’t think we are storing our treasures in heaven by living selfish lives centred around us.

  • The bible says “For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you  are  God’s building.”I Corinthians 3:9 NKJV
  • I Corinthians 1:9 NKJV” God calls us into fellowship with Christ and hence we get to  know his heart and mission hence we partner  with him.And in that we  fellowship with  Jesus  Christ  as we partner with him .“As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.”John 17:18 NKJV

Go out and live you purpose which is centred around finishing the work of reconciliation of Christ, and by so doing know that you are storing your treasures in heaven.Go out and Love as he has loved you!

This Road Now

I look at the sky, the mountains, the roads ,everything natural  and man made , I am certain  “Surely  I have to be here for a reason too”.

They is so much that looks like it needs to be done hence why it would make sense that one of the critical things that people ask  God is “what is my purpose?”

Jeremiah”…Before you were born I set you apart”
This can only mean whatever purpose God has for us,the way he has created us,the way we walk, talk, our personality has to Go hand in hand with it…

If you are wondering what your purpose is from my own life experience I can say that  whatever PURPOSE GOD HAS FOR YOU right now,it is in line with something that you love, the one thing that keeps you awake at night, the thing you are passionate about.

When you find your passion, you find your purpose…And you start living it for the glory of God and the Holy Spirit who is our helper who speaks the mind of God to us begins to enable and empower us and grow us in our passion.

And one important thing about our purposes is that it is also centered on others. Our purpose will also benefit the person next to us.God is love and he has created us out of love and to love others.

God desires that we love each other deeply and sincerely 1Peter1:22.

God through his word spoke all things into being and everything that was made from the beginning was made with a certain purpose in mind. When we are born we instantly kick off the journey of our purpose since we have been predestined for great works(Ephesians 1:1-5) and we lack nothing as God has already equipped us with all that we need(2 Peter 1:3) to carry out his purpose for our lives…

We are all wired differently(Psalms 139:15,16) and we all are blessed with various gifts(Ephesians 4:12-16) and God’s gifts are irrevocable and we do nothing to earn them and we have the liberty to do what we desire with them. But when we have a revelation of who God is in our lives(Acts 17:28) we incline our hearts to giving God glory and serving his purposes with our gifts as  we are called to bring him glory in all we do(Col 3:17) we begin to look for every opportunity to bless God and his people.

The reason for this gifts in all of us is to equip us for works of service,so that the body
of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Ephesians 4:12-16

My mentor once said that over the years our purpose changes, then it was hard to believe but I have experienced that as time goes on God wants me on something else, though it is always in line with his great commission.

The Cry Of The Unreached Nations…(Can you hear it?)

Jesus gave us the Great Commission just before He ascended to be with the Heavenly Father and he promised  us the Holy Spirit to work with us, Act 1:8.

GOD IS REMINDING US THAT;

We are not saved just to attend church on Sundays only. Our Lord has work for all of us, Are we laboring with our Lord to see the Great Commission fulfilled? There are various ways we can labour with our Lord.
WE CAN;

PRAY-for those in the field, their families and those whom he is still steering it in their heart to go to the field and for hearts to be softened and be prepared to hear and accept the good news.

GIVE-financially to support the living expenses of missionaries and outreaches

GO- to a lost and hurting world to be God’s hand, either in mission fields locally or international or evangelize in your hometown

My prayer is that after you read this, God may stir it in your heart to answer to one of this calls.

Love That Disciplines For A Perfect Presentation

image

Life sometimes has so much to offer us,Our faith gets tested,People disappoint us,we fail, things don’t go as we planned,we just get hurt.. And we wonder were God is,in all of this heart ache.

Looking at my life before I was saved and now.I have noticed that they are more hardships now as a Christian.Because the devil is busy trying to get me not to be focused on God.

The beauty of hardship is that God Disciplines His children.IN ALL SITUATIONS ,IN THIS LIFE GOD IS TRANSFORMING US INTO CHRIST’ LIKENESS..
I think it is easy to forget that, when life  is getting the best of us.
In Heb 12,Paul reminds us that we should endure hardships as discipline.Just us our human Father disciplines us,our heavenly Father also disciplines us to mold us into Christ-likeness,so that when the time comes we will be blameless and that we may share in his holiness.

So when we are disciplined we should endure, hope in the Lord, trust him  and cling to his promises for he is a God that works things for God for those  that love him and are called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28).His love and who he is to us is not changed by situations.

We should not forget God is calling us into a life of a relationship with him. God is building a people who will stand solidly in him, that will not be shaken by every wind, who will worship God in all situations, who their joy will not be determined by circumstances but by God.For he is never changing.A people who will only be satisfied in  him just like Jesus Christ.

Hardships  and trials build our faith.God wants us yo be solidly  focused and found in him.Worship him and praise him in the storms of life, because he is an unchanging God.

IF WE PRESS ON WE WILL SEE HIS GLORIOUS UNFOLDING..

He Is Present (he is with you, he is for you,he loves you)

Rom 8:28 talks about how things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to his purpose…And indeed this is true.We may not see or understand but for believers who love God this is true..It took me to be found in different challenges, disappointments for me  to see this and for  God to remind me of this reality..I was too busy putting my hope and joy in people. It took them disappointing me that I learned to run to God.

God used this disappointments as a wake up call for me..And we can  all learn that;
–God  goes before, behind and side by side with us
–He fights our battles for us…He just wants us to pray and trust him

I have learned the secret.. that is Focusing more on the solution than the problem. And God promises to be the solution

God desires that we are always found in him..Our  joy should be about him..Even when situations are not willing because he is always God.He wants us to love and praise him even our situations are not allowing.Faith that is not determined by circumstances and that is how his love is,he loves regardless  of the situation or what we have done.

WITH WHATEVER LIFE THROWS AT YOU OR WHATEVER SITUATION YOU FIND YOURSELF IN, NO MATTER HOW HARD IT IS, NEVER DOUBT GOD, he says “THOUGH THE MOUNTAINS BE SHAKEN AND  THE HILLS  BE REMOVED,YET MY UNFAILING LOVE FOR YOU WILL NOT BE SHAKEN”Psa 52:10

Will I Ever Be Good Enough For Anybody OR Is God Calling Me Into A Life Of Singleness?

Have you been with the wrong person felt  hurt, rejected ,insecure, not good enough? And due to your experiences you wonder if you will ever find someone who will see your worthy or wonder if you are called into a life of singleness?

“I did an oral interview to hear different people’s perspectives based on their experience and the word of God “

” When you’re a child of God you are already good enough for any man or woman , just that not everyone you meet and like is good enough for you.I don’t believe God will refuse to give someone who wants to marry a husband or wife, but God does things his way and with his timing. Maybe you’re still being prepared or your husband or wife is still being prepared, so you just have to be patient.” Jiska

“being single is  a choice but,God gave us the right to make our own choices just as much as it’s your choice to take the first step and give your life to God so it’s up to an individual whether they want to dedicate their life to the Lord alone or with a companion”Lettah

” God is calling us to be a people of patience,God is calling us to trust and believe that  He knows what’s best for us no matter what. And waiting on the promises of the Father is the best thing that can ever happen”Ketz

“I believe there is a man or woman  out there  for everyone  who wants one. Cut out and designed only  for their caliber and  who can handle you exactly  the way you are.Who is going to look at you from the beginning  and  know you will make a great  wife  or husband. I believe  we go through rejection to come  out stronger and  ready for our future spouse . We are irresistibly beautiful and there is no way we cannot  find a man or woman who thinks  we are  not enough. We are everything a man and  a woman can dream of (who is made for us). “Phumzie

“Yes,They is someone for all of us.About  singleness,  that requires one to put on and ephod and enquire of the Lord. I would  think if God has called  one to singleness it’s for a season for a purpose and if not  He will definitely  bless them with a life partner.”Glen

“God doesn’t call people for singleness with the  mentality of wanting a relationship.
God says we are good enough. Clearly there will be someone who will see you like wise. We should not waste our time trying to please wrong men or women who don’t see our worth.”Ruhamah(Vinny)

“We learn from the mistakes or from the past relationship so we keep on and be patient, the right woman or man will come, I don’t think God will call anyone into singleness just because they  don’t  feel good enough about themselves.Sometimes we want relationships right there and then.We should be patient.”Emmanuel

“I believe that until we are ready for relationships,God will not bring us into any.God loves us and desires relationships that are healthy and glorify him.He prepares us and our future spouses first.” Ms_Kay

I think from all that has been said we can conclude and reference with scripture that WE SHOULD BE PATIENT.Ecclesiastes 3:1 says
“TO EVERYTHING there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven”. We should wait on God and his timing.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” And Romans 8:28 says ” We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.” So God desires that we have confidence in him and trust him.As his children God works all things for our good at the right time according to his will..He leads our paths. But most importantly he does not want us to be caught up looking and waiting for life partners that we forget about him Matthew 6:33 says ” But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”Seek God  first and he shall add all other things.

And if God is calling you into a life of singleness he will sustain you and give you the grace about it.

It is when we are focused on him that he shows us the  right person to glorify him with.

WAITING FOR THE RIGHT PATH

“I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.” (Proverbs 4:11, 12 NIV)

Most wading birds, such as herons or egrets, take very slow cautious steps. They have the utmost patience when they’re looking to hunt: they watch and wait for the right prey, and strike when the time is right.

Seagulls, on the other hand, try every method available when they’re looking for something to eat. And their palates aren’t too discerning, either!

I’ve been meditating on these verses in Proverbs 4 for over a year; through this time, God has been showing me that I need to be more like a heron and less like a seagull.

He’s slowing me down and teaching me to wait upon His plan and direction for ministry. My natural tendency is to want to jump and run into new things instead of allowing God to order my steps according to His pace and directions.

Like the seagull, I am hungry and desire to be fed immediately; however, God is still preparing me. He promises to guide me and make sure I follow His path. His timing and His ways are wise, and He won’t allow me to stumble or sway to the right or the left when I trust Him.

Father, I am so grateful that You direct my steps. I am not always sure of the path I am supposed to be on or the appropriate pace. Help me to slow down, listen to You, meditate on Your wise words, and take the right steps so that I do not fall down in a pit. Thank You for leading me. Amen.

Take Action

When considering a decision, consult the Lord and meditate on His word for as long as it takes before taking action. Don’t rush or rely on yourself for answers. Wait until God leads and orchestrates His path for you.

Do Not Settle For Less

They may know the right words to “TURN YOU ON,”but they need God’s word and to chase after him.Allow God to renew your mind and stop falling prey to everyone that entices what God wants you to kill, your flesh.Who God has for you will strengthen your walk with God.They will never promote or entice your lustful desires.

Who God has in store for you, will not allow you to compromise your relationship with God to please their lustful desires.

If they can’t pray with you or for you, lead you to God.THEY ARE NOT READY OR THEY ARE NOT THE ONE. As Christians our relationships are suppose to be honour and bring glory to God.We should not let the world define how we are to have relationships.

LOVE IS PATIENT,DON’T  RUSH WHAT YOU WANT TO LAST FOREVER. ♡♡
